Moses move closer for Baggies, but Forest still in battle.

It looks increasingly likely that West Bromwich Albion will bag their man Victor Moses, as creditors at Crystal Palace look to sell off assets. Palace, who were deducted 10 points by the football leage this week after going into administration - will be forced to offload assets to overcome their financial problems. A good time for West Brom to get a cut price deal on the player.

Rumours however that West Brom were the only club to have registered an official bid for Moses, have been outted as not true by the players manager Tony Finnegan.

West Brom have come in with a bid of £1.5 million, but Nottingham Forest are also said to be in the bidding race - although it is unclear what amount has been offered from the Nottingham club.

Moses had been linked with several English and European clubs, although no further bids have materialised for the 19 year old.  However, over 20 scouts were present at Molineux at the weekend to see Crystal Palace take on Wolves in the FA Cup - all believed to be keeping a watchful eye on Moses.

Palace manager Neil Warnock was instructed by co-administrator Brendan Guilfoyle not to play Moses during Tuesday nights clash with Newcastle for fear that an unjury might hinder his sale.  Guilfoyle is insistant that money raised from the sale of Moses could be vital to securing the future of Crystal Palace Football Club.

i hear Forest had a 1.5m bid refused and so have made an improved offer of over 2m...
