West Bromwich Albion boss Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that the club are ready to make an official complaint, against the French agency which this week claimed Marek Cech was close to signing a deal with french side Rennes. Di Matteo is reported to have been furious when he heard the news that an alleged deal for Cech between West Brom and Rennes was near the stage of completion.
Di Matteo will lodge his complaint with UEFA, after the French media spun a story midweek which claimed the deal was nearly complete - a story which even quoted the players very own brother.
The Baggies boss stated that not only had there been no contact whatsoever between them and Rennes, but also that he had no intentions of allowing Cech to leave the Hawthorns this January.
Cech himself has made no secret of the fact that he desires first team action to bolster his chances of making the World Cup. But Di Matteo is insistant that the player has not been to see him to voice any opinions about leaving West Brom.
