West Bromwich Albion star man Graham Dorrans put an end to the wave of transfer speculation surrounding a move to the Premiership this January, by penning a new contract at the Hawthorns. The 22 year old midfielder who joined the Baggies during the summer of 2008 from Scottish club Livingston, fast became a hit with the fans at Albion

And his contribution to West Broms winning ways has not gone unnoticed by top flight clubs, with Aston Villa, Sunderland and Birmingham City all believed to be tracking the Baggies midfielder.

But news that Dorrans has this afternoon signed a new contract deal at the Hawthorns will allow all associated with the club to breath a sigh of relief.

His new three and a half year deal will keep him at the Midlands side until May 2013, with the option of a one year extension in the clubs favour.

Dorrans  is Albion's joint top scorer so far this season, with 8 goals.
