West Brom v Sunderland - Preview

Defeat for Albion tomorrow would all but see them relegated from the Premiership, so three points at home to fellow strugglers Sunderland are vital if the top flight dream is to be kept alive a little while longer. Gaffer Tony Mowbray believes that Sunderland have every cause to feel just as concerned about tomorrows games as the Baggies, but 15th placed Sunderland are 10 points clear of Albion.

They are however only 4 points off the drop zone, and will have almost certainly labelled tomorrows fixture at the Hawthorns as a must win.

Albion will welcome Roman Bednar and Shelton Martis back into the squad after recovering from hamstring and groin injuries respectively, although it is unclear whether either player is likely to feature in the starting line up.

For Sunderland Kieran Richardson returns after a calf injury, and Captain Dean Whitehead is also back in the squad having mostly recovered from a leg injury.  Nyron Nosworthy is ruled out however, he has a hamstring problem.
