West Bromwich Albion's leading goal scorer this season, Roman Bednar with six goals, has issued a 'bring it on' challenge for new strike duo Jay Simposn and Marc-Antoine Fortune. The Czech striker, who joined Albion this summer officially after a loan spell last season, missed Albion's 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough through suspension.
His new team mates, Simpson and Fortune took the opportunity to strike up an impressive dual performance.
But Bendar insists he is not threatened by his new arrivals. Instead he embraces the challenge of first team selection and insists that it is their job to keep him out - but it won't be easy as the striker has every intention of rising to the challenge.
Bednar says he has been impressed with the young Jay Simpson, but believes he could also form a useful strike partnership with Fortune
