West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray will not have welcomed the news this morning that midfielder James Morrison will not have regained fitness by the time the Baggies take on Manchester United on Tuesday. The news has come at a time when injuries at the Hawthorns are mounting up at a serious rate.

It had been hoped that Morrison would return to training this week and be fit to fact Alex Ferguson’s side in 6 days time.  But the hamstring injury he picked up against Aston Villa nearly two weeks ago has not healed as quickly as the club had hoped.

Morrison has set himself the target of being fit for Albion’s away journey to the KC Stadium versus Hull City on 31st January.
