Tony Mowbray's £10 million shopping list?

A fortnight today and we shall already be into September. How time flies, and Tony Mowbray will sure be one of those people keeping a close eye on the calender as the transfer window draws to a close in 13 days time. Mowbray, whose sumer spending last year pushed the Baggies onto promotion in his first full season in charge, is reportedly looking to spend £10 million on strengthening his squad.

Spanish side Real Mallorca continue to report that Albion's signing of Borja Valero is nearly complete at £5 million.  Some Spanish sources have even indicated that Valero could be arriving in England today to undergo a medical at the Hawthorns.  He allegedly left team mates on Friday, having been excluded from Mallorca's squad for a friendly against PSV Eindhoven.

Other reported speculation indicates that Mowbray will be prepared to pay Charlton Athletic £2 million for their Chinese International Zheng Zhi.

Mowbray may well also be interested in Argentinian striker Oscar Trejo and Portuguese centre back Nunes, both also currently at Real Mallorca.  Although with the La Liga club reportedly wanting up to £8 million to release Nunes alone, the Baggies could almost certainly be priced out of that one.

Such reports certainly match up to Tony Mowbray's post Arsenal game comments about a proposed 4 signings to made shortly.  However, with the gaffer keeping his cards close to his chest only time will tell if these identified targets turn out to be the ones.
