England Goalie Robinson turns Mowbray down

He may well be out of favour at Tottenham Hotspurs and all but forgotten in the England squad, but Paul Robinson ended any hope of a move to West Bromwich Albion this afternoon after he ruled himself out of a move to the Midlands club. Whislt no official offer had been made to Robinson by Tony Mowbray and the club, popular opinion suggested that the Baggies gaffer looked set to offer the out of

favour goalie a one year deal in which he could come to the Hawthorns on loan and enjoy regular football.

Sources close to Robinson have hinted that the 28 year old keeper is keen to move away from north London, where a series of mis-judgements have tainted his career both at White Hart Lane and in the England set up.

Robinson is believed to be being tracked by several Premiership clubs, including Albion's neighbours Aston Villa. 

Robinson has commented that he is hopeful of a move which will keep him in the Premiership, but it appears that that move does not include considering the prospect of playing for Albion.
