Not so long ago takeover bid rumours were rife throughout the top two flghts of English football. With many of those now completed or fallen off the radar, Albion find themselves at the centre of rumours which could see a takeover bid from a man with similar proportioned riches to those of Roman Abromovich at Chelsea.
Reports this week have linked Belarus born, but London based business man Oleg Deripraska with West Bromwich Albion.
The Russian, who has built his wealth in the industrial business sector, has repported wealth of up to £28 billion, and is believed to be in the market for an English Premier League club.
However, whether newly promoted West Brom will suit the fancy of the wealthy Russian remians to be seen. There are no shortage of top flight clubs that might be equally or even more so an attractive proposition, with no end of London clubs that might suit the London based business man more.
