Ellington set to leave Hawthorns? 29/08/07

West Brom striker Nathan Ellington is the subject of yet more transfer speculation today, despite having played and scored in Albion's League Cup victory at Peterborough lastnight. The Duke has been linked with a move away from the Hawthorns for over 12 months, with the want away striker displeased at his lack of first team football.

Reports this morning claim that Ellington is the subject of a transfer said to be around £3.5 million from Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd.  Boothroyd is looking for an instant return to Premiership football and believes 26 year old Ellington could be an asset to achieving this.

 Ellington is currently down the pecking order at the Hawthorns, behind Kevin Phillips and Craig Beattie.  The arrival of Polish striker Bartosz Slusarki symbolises yet more first team misery for Ellington.
