You cant get a ticket for love nor money in your own allocated end of the ground. So if you still want to see the game, only one choice is available.Sit in the opposing fans end and keep your lips sealed as tight as you possibly can. here's how my day went within the enemy.
Myself and Boinger had to get seats in the Billy Wright Upper stand, for yesterdays encounter. Now sitting Between "the enemy" is not my idea of fun, let me tell you.But it was the only way we could get to see the game.
Our day started with our arrival at Molineux ( not THE Molineux )At approx 0900hrs to collect our tkts. Already the activity around the ground, was rather busy to say the least. Gold and black shirts were a many. We got to the tkt office and a very happy chap pointed us in the way of the kiosk where we were to collect our entrance into this inferno ( or so we thought ). Armed with our tkts we headed off to Asda for a coffee, ( A massive Tesco outlet would look so much better. Honestly ) only to find it didn't open till 09.30. Mr Sizzle to the rescue, Two coffees later and listening to other Wolfies on what they were going to do to those Baggies it was time for Asda to open its doors. Fags were required for the nerves, not till 10am could i inhale for my jittery nerves.
We came out and decided to head towards our entrance, the players entrance was getting busy as Bully was scribing away for those fans awaiting a glimpse of the heroes that were to adorn those shirts later on. Mr Don Goodman also appeared. Then after Mr Sizzle supplied another Corr fee Our Team bus Arrived with our heroes.
Dont think the Wolves fans noticed as they were Booing somebody rather loudly and shouting out obscenities to somebody close to the coach that i could'nt see. One by one they got out of the coach as Wolfies decided to clear their throats by spitting before delivering more of the above.
We stood against the wall listening to the poor Kiddy shouting get your load of Bull ( thinking they have for years ) Only to get latched onto with the got a fag mate, young stone island, burberry hat wearing youngster.Cant wait for this he stated, as we engaged in convo talking about his mates who were due to ring on the whereabouts of those Sh## fans. Another scrounged fag later and he was off.( would have loved to see his face had he known we were baggies )
Time to enter the ground, as we climbed those steps up to the Gods, noise getting louder and louder, and my stomach getting tighter. out from the concourse we came to see the baggies in full voice to our right. As i got to my seat, i looked around to see if anybody looked friendly, silly idea really lol.although i knew of 4 people that knew me. the game started as did the banter, and it seemed at the time only i was sat in amongst the Angry Wolfies. Where you normally sit mate i was asked err err only come for this type of game i replied. 10, 20 mins went by and all the sound was starting to disappear. the atmosphere i was expecting had gone, yes they were still
taunting one another but nothing like i had expected. i went for a sneaky fag 5 mins before half time with a special friend and missed the first goal of the game, how typical is that eh !!.
The second half was more relaxed from my point of view, as the nerves etc of sitting with the enemy was easier now, as they were very quiet, the odd song came up and the very quick one line responses you get at the footy were as funny as normal. oops 2-0 boinging going on i thought this will get them going, but a few around the ground responded and that was that. 3-0 and the same. a couple of the faces around me started to leave making gestures at the jubilant baggies but that was it. then some grey haired man in front of us had , had enough about 55 years old and reliving his youth took the banter to the p taking baggie contingent below making nice hand gestures etc ( hope he never had heart attack later ) he really did get rather animated lol. the game finished and off we went, listening as we walked amongst the fans, hey they were the same as us i thought to myself, they had just lost to the enemy and were feeling exactly as i would depressed and disgruntled. they didn't have two heads or knuckles dragging on the floor. they were footy fans as we were. I wish Wolves all the best for the rest of the season. And to the fans i say keep your heads up as i know other issues are going on off of the field of play.
Tony.
