Feisty’s Deb Cartwright fast at BMCRC Brands Hatch

BMCRC Brands Hatch, 11th & 12th March: Feisty Racing’s Deb Cartwright once again proved her potential with a series of consistently fast performances at Brands Hatch last weekend.

Conditions were far from kind, with a bitterly cold wind, and sleet and snow showers for much of Saturday - a far cry from the recent temperatures in Israel, where Deb has spent the last few months working.

With lap times hovering around the 54-56 second mark, Deb was a little off her best pace of last year - but the bike is still being sorted following the winter lay off, and a recent crash in testing at Snetterton. Luckily, Deb escaped serious injury on that occasion ,and is keen to get the bike into full race condition.

Changes to the rules in her Superbike 400 class this year allow a higher state of tune, and more race-specification components than ever before, meaning that additional investment is required in Deb’s aged Honda RVF-400 to reclaim the competitiveness it had last year.

Already one of the top female riders in the country, Deb is therefore hoping to attract support from sponsors to realise her full potential. There is no doubt that this talented rider will get stronger as the season progresses, and even the single point earned this weekend could prove valuable at the end of the season.
