Ralf happy with race pace

Ralf Schumacher says he is happy with the race pace of the TF105, the package that steered him home to his first podium for Toyota last weekend at the Hungaroring.

The German was happy to give his critics a smack round the chops, as much of the press have been reporting on how the car is brilliant in qualifying but has dreadful race pace.

Drivers even commented in pre-qualifying interviews that their aim was to out-qualify Ralf and Jarno so they can not hold them up during the race.

Ralf said “People had been suggesting that we have good qualifying speed but aren't so strong in the race.

“But at Hungaroring we proved that we had the speed in both qualifying and race."

The only people to outpace the Toyota's were McLaren and Schumacher Snr as Trulli braved first corner damage to come home fourth.
