Make decision soon

For Toyota F1 driver Cristiano da Matta the announcement as to who will join Ralf Schumacher as a driver for the team in 2005 can't come soon enough.

Da MattaWith Ralf Schumacher signing a three-year contract with the team what will happen to the two current drivers, da Matta and Panis, is yet to be announced.

Even though the Toyota team has indicated that any decision would most likely not happen till the end of the season Da Matta is hoping that the decision is made well in advance of the time.

"I hope the announcement for the second driver comes much earlier," he told Reuters. "Whatever happens, if I am the one that is going to stay, it would be much nicer to know this earlier. If I am not staying, it will be much nicer to know earlier too because then I can do some other things.

"I don't have any other offers and any other place and also it is not my plan to go anywhere else for next season. It's my second season here."

As to when the decision should be made: "Tomorrow, this afternoon, as soon as possible. The sooner the better."
