Leigh Centurions have brought prop forward Ricky Bibey back to his home-town, initially joining on a month's loan from local rivals Wigan Warriors. Bibey, who's younger brother Adam plays for the Centurions Under 18's side, has signed for the Centurions initially on a month's loan, although it is believed that there is a view to a permanent move to The Coliseum.

Bibey's future at the JJB Stadium has been in doubt since a reported bust-up with coach Stuart Raper on a club night out several weeks ago, which prompted Raper, who announced this week that he would be leaving the club, to drop Bibey from his side. However, he was quickly recalled due to an injury crisis at the Warriors.

While with the Centurions, Bibey will continue to spend the early part of the week training with Wigan, before training with his Leigh team-mates on the Thursday and Friday every week during the month he is loan with Leigh.

Bibey will be a welcome addition to the side, with many supporters feeling that the team have lacked a bit of a "mean streak" ever since popular veteran Tim Street departed Hilton Park for the final time nearly two years ago to take up semi-retirement in National League Two with Chorley Lynx to be closer to his families business in Blackpool.

Bibey is expected to play some part in Sunday's encounter with Batley Bulldogs, along with fellow debutant Tommy Martyn as both make a triumphant return to their home town.

Welcome to the club, Ricky.
