Centurions head coach Paul Terzis welcomes back several key players who missed last weekend's friendly defeat at Super League side Castleford as Leigh continue their quest for Arriva Cup glory. Terzis welcomes back six seasoned campaigners to his squad who missed last week's 36-12 friendly defeat at Castleford. Sonny Nickle, John Duffy, Michael Watts, Alan Hadcroft and Paul Rowley are all set to return to the squad while Dave Bradbury and Rob Ball have been receiving treatment all week on groin and knee injuries respectively and are expected to take their places in the pack at Spotland.
World record holder Neil Turley looks set to make his competitive comeback at full back after a succesful return last week, in which he scored against the Super League Tigers. Turley will replace David Alstead as full back, with Alstead still on the sidelines through injury.
However, Terzis does have a couple of problems. Aussie half back Pat Weisner, who has been in fantastic form this season since signing from the Canterbury Bulldogs suffered a swollen knee against Castleford and hasn't been making a good response to treatment this week and will probably fail to take his place at Spotland. Also missing for the Centurions will be reserve hooker John Hamilton who has a tissue injury in his hand.
Centurions coach Terzis believes Rochdale will come out with all guns blazing as they look to make up for their 56-4 thrashing at the Willows two weeks ago. Leigh have to be wary of a Hornets backlash but they will be facing familiar faces in the shape of Jon Roper and Gareth Price, who both spent last season at Hilton Park before moving to Spotland.
COME ON LEYTHERS!!
