Another new signing

Cash strapped Leigh Centurions continued their build up to the start of the season by confirming their latest big name signing last night. Like former big name players Vila Matautia and Bobbie Goulding, he is a former St Helens star.

Former Great Britain and Bradford forward Sonny Nickle last night signed after several years at Knowsley Road with the Super League champions.

Nickle should add valuable experience to a comparatively inexperienced pack following the departures of the likes of Simon Baldwin, Dave Whittle and Andy Isherwood.
