Blues head coach Dai Young has turned down a forward role with Wales but a move to Sarries is a possibility.

Young said today that he has turned down the chance to be part of Gareth Jenkins' new Wales set up, though its widely thoughts he's been in contact with Guinness Premiership side, Saracens.

"I was flattered to be offered the position, I am a proud Welshman and would love to be part of the Welsh coaching team at some point. But I feel that this is not the right time to take up such a post."

As this site reported months ago, the Sarries DoR is a huge fan of Young, and is set to offer him a role as head coach. Having turned down the Wales role, it may be lead to believe he has agreed a deal with the English outfit and will depart in the summer.

It's thought that there have been a number of cut backs for Young, and he has become dissilusioned with the lack of ambition shown by chairman Peter Thomas. Young has attempted to sign many Welsh players including Steven Jones, Hal Luscumbe, Matthew Watkins and Barry Davies, but lack of funds from the head man have meant Young has failed to land him man.

His depature is by no mean confirmed, and having put up with so much stick, it would be crazy for him to leave now. He has 2 years left on his contract and has a great working relationship with the former owner of Peters Pies, but if he's bothering to talk to these clubs, then he must be at least considering it...
