Chris Czekaj looks set to start his first 6 Nations match on Sunday, with wings Shane Williams and Mark Jones out.
The official team announcement is made after Gareth Thomas' disciplinary hearing later today. At 1.35pm, Gareth Jenkins will name his first ever 6 Nations side, but is expected to be down to the bare bones after a massive injury crisis.
In the backs, its unlikley Mark Jones, Shane Williams or Garteh Thomas will play, while injuries have definately forced out Sonny Parker and Tom Shanklin in midfeild.
It means that Chris Czekaj is looking set to start on on of the wings, with Jamie Robinson competing for the centre birth with Hal Luscombe.
It's also possible that both will play, should Thomas be banned and Williams and Jones are ruled out, with Hal going to the wing.
It gives a very inexperienced and young looking back line, should the above occur, with Peel, Jones and Morgan the only ones to go to a World Cup with Wales.
Probable Wales Backs:
15 Kevin Morgan
14 Hal Luscombe
13 Jamie Robinson
12 James Hook
11 Chris Czekaj
10 Steven Jones
9 Dwaine Peel
In the forwards, there is a far better story however, and less likely to predict. Up front, the Hair Bair boys, Adam and Duncan Jones, are competing with gethin Jenkins and Chris Horseman, with teh latter expected to get the nod.
The second row causes as much dilema, Sidoli, Gough and Alun Wynn-Jones all possibles. But the back row would seem more staright forward, with the only uncapped player in the squad, Scott Morgan, looking like a bench spot, a formation of Popham, Williams and Ryan Jones looking the most likely combination.
Probable Wales Forwards:
1 Gethin Jenkins
2 Rhys Thomas
3 Chris Horseman
4 Ian Gough
5 Alun Wynn-Jones
6 Alix Popham
7 Martyn Williams
8 Ryan Jones
However we will only really know come 1.35pm today!
