It was another warm and sunny day in Vallelunga for the second day of the test, with temperatures matching the ambient highs of 28°C seen yesterday.
Jenson Button joined the team this morning, taking over from James Rossiter in chassis RA106-06. He spent his early runs acclimatising to the track before beginning a tyre programme, successfully completing his full morning schedule over 81 laps.
Jenson continued to run through the tyre programme during the afternoon session. He completed a further 95 laps taking his overall total for the day to an impressive 176 laps. Jenson also set the fastest time of the day – a 01:02.051.
Anthony Davidson continued his running in chassis RA106-02 and spent the morning session working through an aero evaluation, completing 66 laps. He also worked on a tyre programme in the afternoon session looking at various options for the forthcoming races, alongside a chassis set-up programme. Anthony completed 80 laps in the afternoon for a total of 146 laps today.
Rubens Barrichello will join the team in Vallelunga tomorrow for the final day, taking over from Anthony in chassis RA106-02.
