Rubens Barrichello, a race winner at the Nurburgring, heads towards Germany with the Honda Racing F1 team confident of a good race. “I always enjoy going to the Nurburgring, particularly as it is one of the tracks where I achieved a win, in 2002," says the Brazilian. "It is a challenging circuit for the drivers and has some interesting characteristics like great high-speed corners and interesting undulations."

Aside from that win, Rubens has also secured a further three podium finshes at the 'Ring, and even managed to score points in a Jordan.

"It's normally very cold when we go there so we are expecting all the efforts that we have made on our tyre-warming issues over the last few tests to pay off."

Given the cold temperatures expected in Germany, it's good to see the team choosing to join the test at Silverstone, where conditions are nearly always cool and windy.

"We also worked really hard at Silverstone this week on the set-up of the car," continued Barrichello, "and seeing the results, we are hoping for a strong performance at the Nurburging.”
