Rubens Barrichello, Jenson Button and Anthony Davidson are all keen to get testing the new Honda RA106, the car that Honda Racing F1 hope can provide the teams first win.

Fresh from a Ferrari enforced winter break, and with just a few days testing with Honda Racing F1, Rubens Barrichello is looking forward to his new adventure.

"This is a very exciting day for me as it's my first launch with a new team for six years!" exclaimed Barrichello at the Barcelona launch. "Honda has a fantastic heritage in motorsport and it's great to be a part of that now.

"I can't wait to drive the new car and the discussions I've had with our technical team indicate that we have good reason to be excited about the season ahead," he continued. "I'm sure that will be confirmed when I test the car for the first time today."

With all the difficulties of 2004 and 2005 now behind him, Jenson Button is committed to Honda Racing F1, with talk of a five year contract being in place. Now with the team for three years, Jenson has seen the resources and potential build at the teams Brackley base.

"I'm incredibly proud and excited to be part of the Honda Racing F1 Team and 2006 is going to be a very important year for all of us," said Button. "We've achieved a lot in winter testing with our Concept car and I have seen first hand the huge effort in Brackley and Tochigi over the past few months.

"I'm confident that all the determination will be rewarded this year," he continued, "and I've done my part by working even harder on my fitness to ensure that I'm in the best possible shape for the season ahead.

"I can't wait for the first race in Bahrain."

The teams third driver, Anthony Davidson, has recently committed himself to another year with Honda Racing F1, turning down the possibility of a race drive with the Honda powered Super Aguri F1 team. Now starting his sixth year with the team, Anthony's work has been invaluable in developing the car to it's full potential.

"I'm really looking forward to playing my part in what I’m sure will be a successful year for the team," said Davidson. "It’s going to be great to be running again on Fridays at Grands Prix and I know this will really help our development throughout the year."

The team want wins in 2006. Should that happen, Anthony's contribution must not be forgotten.
