It was a frustrating weekend for BAR Honda Young Driver Adam Carroll and his Super Nova International team in Hockenheim this weekend as Round 7 of the GP2 series got underway in Germany.
Qualifying 7th for Race 1 on Saturday, Adam was forced to retire on Lap 7 with an engine problem.
With this retirement putting him well down the starting grid in 18th position for Race 2 on Sunday, Adam did well to fight his way forward to finish in 11th place.
Adam remains fourth in the Drivers’ Championship with 34 points, behind Scott Speed, Nico Rosberg and overall leader Heikki Kovalainen.
The Super Nova International team are third in the Team Championship.
The next event in the GP2 series takes place at the Hungaroring in Budapest next weekend.
