Tasuhiro Wada, the soon to be president of Honda Racing Development, has admitted to the possibility of Honda pushing more funds towards BAR in a bid to ensure championship success. "It's possible that we may need to bring more resources," Tasuhiro Wada said to Autosport. "Our aim is to win the world title and if we need more resources to do that we will provide them.

"It's important to ensure that we have the right quality of resource. It's not just about quantity. That is Honda's philosophy. Whatever the answer we will bring strong counter-measures to deal with our current problems."

Honda recently purchased a 45% stake in BAR, with BAT retaining the other 55%. In January Shoichi Tanaka refused to rule out the prospect of Honda buying BAT's stake at a later date.
