Mercedes AMG will hope for strong qualification positions and a consistent race.
We are on the eve of the last stretch of the F1 Formula season. The WDC and the Constructors Championships are still wide open. Although Alonso has a 37 point lead the next four F1 aces are only separated by 10 points. With ample races left and all the pit falls available to an aspiring race driver anything is still within the realm of determining the outcome. Team mate wars in general are also evening out with the exception of Ferrari where Alonso has hand-dunked Massa and Kimi has pulled away from Grosjean. The domination by Alonso puts question marks into will the two remain team mates next season. It has also brought much speculation into who will drive for the Prancing horses next year. Perez has been mentioned as a possible, but there’s talk he’s too much of a threat too the two time world champion to keep the peace.
Little has been mentioned at Mercedes other than they continue to put faith into their exhausts and DRS system. The Arrows had a strong finish at Monza and the team was satisfied with the rate of pace and advancement as the laps waned to the finish. Singapore should provide further answers to the above puzzles. As fans of Mercedes we remain confident our level of competition will continue to inch forward and our break-out races are still to come in the future. How about two Singapore Slings for Mercedes supporters and podium finishes for our drivers?
