The last two races have not yielded points from both driver’s. Even though Michael has accepted blame for the Petrov incident it was deemed by the stewards a no fault situation. Nico’s bad luck in the Montreal race can also be written off as a racing mishap.

Recently and leading up to the British Grand Prix teams have been and are currently adapting their race cars to new rule changes. Some seem to be doing better than others. Ferrari and Red Bull have surprisingly been less affected with the changes, while McLaren, Mercedes and Renault have gone in the opposite direction. Mercedes and other teams will be facing another big performance test with the new diffuser rule alterations taking place for the British GP.

Mercedes GP still requires additional pace but has been somewhat interrupted with these inconvenient driver errors causing both Nico and Michael respectively to finish out of the points. Hopefully the woes of our drivers are over for the time being and their racing luck is restored enough to avoid further racing complications, and Mercedes GP can get back to the tweaking of our car.
