F1 boss, and former team owner, Bernie Ecclestone is in no doubt about how he'd end Ferrari's team orders shenanigans - he'd drop Barrichello and put Jacques Villeneuve in the second seat! "I reckon that Villeneuve is as good as anyone, probably including Michael," says the former Brabham boss in an interview with F1 Magazine. "If he was in a Ferrari against Michael he would be quick, but he wouldn't win the World Championship because he makes more mistakes than Michael."

"Ron wouldn't have Villeneuve in his team, because he's not good for the image of McLaren," added Ecclestone, referring to Villeneuve's much publicised disdain for promotional work. "So you can imagine all the problems that would cause."

For 2003 Ecclestone is hoping for at least one team to get its act together and take on Ferrari, one driver to actually challenge Schumacher. "[It would be good for] Montoya to get his act together, but it's the car that's the problem. If you said to me, 'it's a perfect world, who would you like to have in your car?' I'd say, put Montoya or Villeneuve in a Ferrari alongside Michael, and take away team orders."

While the prospect would be fun, I can't see Jean Todt agreeing...
