Malaysia: Odds of a Brawn GP win?

By Phil Huff
April 2 2009

A few weeks ago you could get odds off 66/1 against Jenson Button winning the Australian Grand Prix. One race later, and his chances of winning the Malaysian Grand Prix have shortened to just 37/20 - the equivalent of 1.85/1. Elsewhere, things are more favourable. Here's where you could win a bit of pocket money...

As mentioned above, favourite to win is, unsurprisingly,  Jenson Button in his Brawn GP, with odds of 37/20 - that is, bet £10 and, should the Briton win, you'll get back £18.50 plus your £10 stake.

Team mate Rubens Barrichello looks tempting at 4/1, although it's not a big money maker. Fernando Alonso still seems to low, so skip that and look towards Trulli and his Toyota - an each way bet at 28/1 might be worth a bit of cash. Further back, BMW Sauber's Nick Heidfeld looks superb value at 40/1, considering team mate Robert Kubica was (allegedly) in with a shout of winning last week.
