Despite Bob Pires claiming the Blues were a big threat to Arsenal, another draw looks like it has put an end to hopes of the Premiership coming to Merseyside.

The Blues were grateful of a last minute goal by Tomasz Radzinski that salvaged a point in a 2-2 draw with Man City. The Blues had taken the lead with a sixth minute strike by Steve Watson, only for Nicolas Anelka to capitalise on a Richard Wright error to equalise on 33 minutes. Marc Vivien Foe then put City ahead on 82 minutes.

Moyes will be worried that his thin squad will be stretched to the limit by injuries to Yobo, Naysmith and Campbell, maybe it will speed up the arrival of Brian McBride. But Moyes was quite happy with the performance stating,

"There is a sense of relief after getting something out of a game that seemed to be going away from us.

"There has been a bit of illness about with a bug going through the club. I've had it and so has Mark Pembridge but he decided he wanted to play today.

"Quite a few players were out of sorts but I thought we had weathered what Manchester City had thrown at us in the second half. I told the players afterwards `Great stuff, you've got something out of the game'.

"They've kept it going and got a point. We're getting nearer the magical 40 points. The good thing about us is we're not losing."

The Blues will need to get to the Bellefield treatment room and get ready for the cup game at Gay Meadow. Hopefully the Blues can get back to winning ways.
