JB Joins The Blues

Former Warriors centre Jonny "JB" Bryant has joined the Cardiff Blues from the Newport Gwent Dragons. For the full story and reaction read on.

Having failed to establish himself at Rodney Parade Newport Gwent Dragons centre Jon Bryant has transferred to Cardiff Blues.

"Being asked to join the Blues has been a real shot in the arm," he said.

"I can't wait to get into the action. Looking around the squad in training brought home the potential here and I desperately want to be part of it.

"There's talent oozing everywhere. It's been a bit of a barren spell for me at the Dragons and the Blues have some big games coming up in the next few weeks."

One of those big games is against the Dragons over the Christmas weekend but its been agreed that Bryant will not take part, but he expected to make his debut this week against Leinster.

Bryant is the second player released by the Dragons over the past week, following Scotland international Ross Beattie.

"JB" was a great impact player for the Warriors last season, he was not given the opportunity with Newport, he is joining a struggling team crying out for someone with his go forward and he should go well.
