Warriors captain Gareth Thomas is understood to have agreed a deal with French giants Toulouse after the Warriors and WRU agreed to the compensation package on offer for the transfer of the Warriors and Wales star.
Finally it is understood that Gareth Thomas will be playing his club rugby for Toulouse next season after a deal has now been agreed upon. Warriors benefactor Leighton Samuel traveled to France and held talks with the French outfit last week and brought back with him an offer from Toulouse which was to be put to the Warriors board of directors.
The deal, believed to be 100,000 - 150,000 plus all gate receipts from a friendly between the two teams is seen as a suitable compensation package for the remaining time left on Thomas' contract although the contract also has a clause that gives the Warriors first chance of resigning Thomas should he fail to settle in France.
