Alfie Move Hits Snag

Celtic Warriors captain Gareth Thomas proposed move to Toulouse has hit a snag. Relieved Warrior fans who hope for him to stay read on. From BBC Online

"The transfer of Wales full-back Gareth Thomas from Warriors to European champions Toulouse could be in doubt.
The Warriors have yet to receive an official offer from the French club.

They have given Toulouse until the beginning of next week to come up with compensation of 200,000 and are taking legal advice on the contract"

The rumour in last nights Echo was that they were only willing to offer a pre season friendly as compensation for Thomas.

This is clearly unacceptable for a player who is under contract and worth so much to the region.

Can you imagine David Beckham leaving Madrid for free? Nor can I.

Toulouse you need to join the real world, the best things in life come at a cost. Well done to the Warriors for taking legal advice.

I hope this puts an end to it.
