"It has
become increasingly obvious that recent events have given me cause to reconsider
my position as benefactor to the Celtic Warriors. Consequently I will be
advertising the position of Chief Executive with immediate effect prior to my
total withdrawal by 31st May 2004.
My commitment to the Warriors cause has been total in both time and effort and
my financial support to date will be in excess of 1million by the end of the
season.
The continued on going criticism of the efforts we have made under difficult
circumstances by the support base has taken its toll and has forced me to take
this decision. It is obvious I do not have the support of the fan base and
consequently perhaps it is time for those who have criticised to stand up and be
counted.
I feel I have done my best for the Region but unfortunately not everyone
appreciates my efforts."
