5 week ban for Porcu

Perpignan second row Christoph Porcu has been banned for 5 weeks after a number of off the ball incidents involving Gethin Jenkins and Christian Loader in the Warriors match with Perpginan on December 13th.

Porcu's ban will take immediate effect and as a result he will miss the remaining matches in the group stages of the Heineken Cup.

The ban imposed on Porcu could have been longer but he was found not guilty of assaulting Gethin Jenkins in the same match. Porcu now has 72 hours to lodge an appeal against the ban.
