In the absence of a Warriors game(Sort it out Celtic League) I went down the Brewery field to watch the Bridgend - Llandovery fixture. A fantastic game and some young players to watch out for Bridgend won the game 35-34 in an excellent open encounter. I will be going to watch them several more times this season if the rugby is as good as this. A great advert for the Welsh Premiership, the support to was encouraging most of the granstand full and in my opinion 900-1100 there.

Players To Watch:
Coach Richard Webster - "Webby" has once again drawn together a pack of forwards to compete, they are very young but becoming more worldly wise. Down to him, he is destined for bigger things.
Chances Of The Big Time: Should be at least a forwards coach at a regional team by next season.

2nd Row Huw Alford - Went off injured early but lived up to the hype. Made one scintillating break and looked very athletic.
Chances of the big time: V High

Open Side Dean Fitzgerald - A quick openside who made his way around the park and did some good ball carrying work. Gave away a few too many penalties but another to look out for.
Chances of the big time: Good

No 8 Nathan Strong - Led the young Bridgend pack from the front and showed why there have been calls for him to be called up to the Warriors.
Chances Of The Big Time: Needs to be sooner rather than later.

Wing Aisea Havilli - "Idris" is one who has played for the Warriors many times and has yet to show his true form. Looked a danger every time he got the ball, pace by the bucketload 3tries and my MOTM.
Chances Of The Big Time: He is there but needs the confidence to run at the top level.

Centre Richard Mustoe - Played on the wing in his few starts for the Warriors but looked more the part in the centre.
Chances Of The Big Time: Very High

Centre Shaun James - Got off to bang with the Warriors in the Borders then lost his way a bit. Was immense yesterday.
Chances Of The Big Time: Extremely High

Full Back Anthony Carter - On the bench a few times for the Warriors, a great running full back with bags of talent. if he sorts out his kicking he can go places.
Chances Of The Big Time: Very High

Outside Half Paul Smithson - Distinguishing yellow hair, he came off the bench and kicked the points. Looks to marshal the backline well and at 19yrs he could become great.
Chances Of The Big Time: Extremely High
