Disappointingly, the points are shared in the Mo's first league game of the season. McDonald equalises Leishman's opener with no further scoring at Firs Park, Falkirk. The first game of the season ended in a draw in Falkirk. Leishman scored for Shire on 38 minutes but Colin McDonald opened the Mo league account with a goal a minute from half-time. No further goals in the second half.

East Fife hit the top of Division 3 with Elgin in second spot.
