Scottish Football League Division Three, Saturday 19 February 2005, Raydale Park, Gretna. GRETNA 4 (Skelton (43), Deuchar (57. 74), Birch (pen 60)) MONTROSE 1 (Wood (26)). Montrose were beaten comprehensively by the league leaders, but not without giving them a bit of an early fright.

Any thoughts of Montrose creating the shock of the day when Martin Wood put us ahead in 26 minutes were shattered in three mad minutes in the second half when hyperprolific striker Deuchar put Gretna in front then Kerr Dodds fouled in the box and was sent off. Birch put Gretna further ahead from the spot. Big Deuchar rounded it all off with 16 minutes to go.

And we've the other half of the Third Division's version of the Old Firm, Peterhead, next week at Links Park.
