As the season trundles to a close, Montrose grind out the third draw between the teams this season. Reserve keeper, Mike 'Hanky' Hankinson is the hero for Montrose with two fine saves. Young Neil Stephen came into the side for the injured Greig Smith, but those changes apart, it was a settled-looking Montrose eleven.

Off the field, we learned that John Sheran has been appointed manager of Highland League side, Cove Rangers. Mere mention of that team sends shivers up the spine as I recall that freezing winter away cup tie in which we were (well) beaten 2-0.
