Preview: Montrose travel to Central Park, Cowdenbeath in the first round of the CIS Cup on Tuesday. We look back on the recent history between the sides. Central Park, Cowdenbeath is the destination for Montrose in the first round of this season's CIS Cup. The Fifers won promotion to Division Two in season 2000/2001, and Montrose must have been glad to see the back of them, since the last six games between the sides ended in victories for the Blue Brazil. Montrose's last point against Cowdenbeath came in October 1999, and we have to go back to Feb 1998 for our last home victory and February 1997 for the last time we took three points at Central Park! Let's hope we can end the misery on Tuesday! Checking out the Cowdenbeath websites, I discovered that they too have a women's team, but sadly no pictures are available. The unofficial site: Blue Brazil webpage is very impressive and funny in places - worth a visit. Finally, it seems that the sponsors of Cowdenbeath are Fife Gas. Let's hope that Montrose can keep them to a peep on Tuesday!
