Fans have spoken out over the failure of TNS officials to observe a minute silence for Wales legend 'TG' Jones at Saturday's Welsh Premier clash between Bangor City and TNS at Farrar Road. The TNS Bench have been accused of failing to stand up in memory of Thomas George Jones who recently died at the age of 86 after a short illness. TNS webmaster, Andrew Lincoln claimed on the topica list that "Half the crowd didn't stand for the simple reason that the PA system wasn't working." Bangor officials and fans have admitted that the PA system did face problems but that only the TNS Bench failed to stand up in memory of the former Everton, Wrexham, Swansea City and Bangor hero.

Bangor City fan, Matthew Shooman was so outraged that he wrote a letter to league secretary John Deaking. Shooman explained: "Although the public address system failed just prior to kick off surely the sight of the players and officials standing around the centre circle, heads bowed and not a single noise form all four corners of the ground would give even the most ignorant a rather large "clue" as to what was happening."

TNS have yet to make an official statement giving their side of the story, with this incident coming hot on the heels of other disciplinary incidents such as the alledged trashing of Aberystwyth's changing rooms, and Gary Brabin's assault on a Rhyl fan following a recent Welsh Premier game at Treflan.
