Carmarthen Look To Aizlewood

Carmarthen Town have appointed the services of ex-Wales international, Mark Aizlewood as they bid to turn around their faltering season. The former Cardiff star will assist manager Andrew York for an initial two months. Aizlewood, who had an illustrious playing career as a centre back for Cardiff, Leeds, Charlton, Luton, Bristol City, and Bradford City as well as gaining 39 caps for his country. The Newport born 44 year old has also coached in the Welsh Premier with both Aberystwyth Town and Cwmbran.

His spell working as an analyst for BBC Wales ended in controvesy after alledgedly assaulting a female pundit, Jane Harvey. He has also been sacked from his job as technical director for the FA Wales Trust.

Carmarthen Chairman Jeff Thomas told BBC Wales Sport: "I am delighted at such a valuable addition to the club's management team. The appointment was made in full consultation with manager Andrew York who is also delighted to have Mark on board."
