Bangor City have announced plans to let students in for free at their next Welsh Premier game against Haverfordwest County on Sunday 12th October. CARLOS EDWARDS

Bangor City spokesperson, Huw Pritchard, said "Following the recruitment drive of last season, when a £1.00 admission voucher printed in the University students’ newspaper “Y Seren” was a huge success, students will be admitted free to Bangor’s home game against Haverfordwest on 12 Oct. City officials now hope that this incentive will bring a whole raft of first-time supporters into Farrar Road – and also have spinoff benefits in merchandise sales."

Bangor follow in the footsteps of Welsh Premier rivals Aberystwyth, who tempted over 1000 fans to a game at Park Avenue last season, by offering students free admission.
