T.N.S Chairman Mike Harris was delighted to hear his side drawn against Manchester City at the UEFA Cup draw in Switzerland today.

T.N.S will be the first club to visit Man City's new 'City of Manchester' stadium in a competitive game. They make the short trip to Manchester on August 14th, whilst the Blues will visit Wales a fortnight later. However, the venue for T.N.S' 'home' leg is yet to be decided. It certainly won't be their current home or Newtown's Latham Park, so it seems likely it will either be staged at nearby Wrexham or Cardiff's Millenium Stadium.  

Harris told BBC Sport "I'm made up - this is fantastic, the best draw we could have had. If we get the right result in Manchester I'll look to relocate the game to the Millenium Stadium". Harris has recently merged the Llansantffraid-based club with neighbours Oswestry Town. He is hoping to move his full-time professional club to a new purpose built 'super stadium' in Oswestry within the next few years, with the vision of making T.N.S 'the second largest club in Wales'. 

Manchester City officials were equally pleased with the draw. The Premiership giants, who qualified via the 'Fair Play' award, will be confident of progressing to the First Round. Manchester City Managing Director Alistair Mackintosh said "The fact that they are so close is great news for our fans. There was an air of tension when City's name came out, then there was a cracking cheer from the TNS representatives when they heard their name. They are absolutely delighted to have been drawn against us."
