WHO CARES ABOUT BECKS?!

Aberystwyth have confirmed the signing of Bangor City Marc Lloyd Williams. 'Jiws' joins the Greens on a 2 year contract.

The League's all-time top scorer, who has scored over 150 Welsh Premier goals between Bangor and Porthmadog, was transfer listed by the cash strapped Citizens last week. 'Jiws' was linked with moves to T.N.S, Caernarfon and even newly promoted CPD Porthmadog, but he has opted to sign for Gary Finley's ambitious club.

The 30 year old striker, who has Football League experience with Halifax, Stockport and York told BBC Wales "I'm disappointed, but if the club doesn't want me to stay then I have to look to the future. They're saying they have no money to pay my wages, but the manager's still looking to bring players in." The Citizens are set to fly out to Romania later this week, as they prepare to take on Gloria in the Intertoto Cup

Aberystwyth, who finished 4th last season, clearly have their eyes on challenging the likes of Barry Town and TNS next year. Jiws added "Aberystwyth finished fourth in the league last year, and I think everything's geared up there to go higher." The Greens have already persuaded Player of the season Bari Morgan to stay, and enticed former Sheffield Wednesday star, Neil Gibson to Park Avenue this summer.

Have Bangor made the right decision in letting Jiws go? Can he re-discover his midas touch in front of goal next season and fire Aber to a top 3 finish? There's plenty to talk about on the messageboard.
