Aberystwyth's proposal for 2 additional 'youth substitutes' was approved at the Welsh Premier AGM, which was held in Aber on Saturday.

www.atfcnews.co.uk report that : The Aberystwyth Town Executive Board have proposed a rule change to the JT Hughes Mitsubishi Welsh Premier League concerning substitutes. They have proposed that in addition to the three substitutes presently allowed under the rules, that teams may select two additional substitutes known as "youth substitutes" provided they are registered with the club as youth players. This proposed amendment to the rules is to promote the development of young local players by allowing them to be part of the first team preparations for matches and with the prospect of being involved games. The idea is that if a team is either coasting to victory or suffering heavy defeat a manager could choose to give a "youth substitute" experience of the Welsh Premier League.
