Oswestry Town manager Dave Norman today told Radio Shropshire that he was 'totally shocked' after hearing his club were being merged with local rivals TNS.

Norman added: "I am now trying desperately to find new clubs for the players we have signed during the summer, which is the least they deserve. Unfortunately it looks like the end of the road for Oswestry Town,"

Oswestry had already re-signed several members of the squad ahead of what was expected to be an exciting Welsh Premier season. The Park Hall club has also captured the signing of former Nomads prolific striker Dave O'Gorman.

It now appears that Norman and his staff will be out of a job. I'm sure we all wish Dave, the players and officials all the best for the future after being bought out by professional rivals TNS.
