Rushden and Diamonds manager Brian Talbot has been rewarded for an excellent month, in which the club remained unbeaten after Saturday's victory over Bristol Rovers. Diamonds won all four league games, including away wins at Rochdale and Lincoln in an impressive period for the Nene Park. An FA Cup replay win over Kidderminster Harriers completed four weeks work well done.

Talbot was quick to play down the achievement by heaping the praise on his players and the effort they have put in recently.

Meanwhile, Paul Underwood is suffering from another injury. He has only been able to play the last few matches with a serious rib injury after a pain killing injection.
