Spurs hope to establish a 5 point lead in the all-important race for the Champions League. After Bolton's surprising defeat yesterday, and Arsenal's postponement on Saturday evening it's now game on. Can Spurs capitalise?

On paper this would be seen by many neutrals as a home banker. Spurs however, have not got the best of records at home to the Baggies, but will be boosted after successive wins against Blackburn and Birmingham City in recent weeks. With a potentially tough trip to a wounded Toon at the weekend, it is vital that Spurs pick up 3 points tonight.

It won’t be easy though – West Brom have already convincingly beaten Spurs this season. Back on a bitterly cold evening just after Christmas, Spurs failed to perform and paid the penalty. Kanu [once again] proving to be Spurs’ nemesis. I for one, hope he doesn’t play tonight. Spurs, at the Lane though, are a different proposition. If Lennon starts tonight and gives Spurs that pace down the right, then I feel there may be a few goals tonight with both Robbie Keane, and Jermain Defoe both tantalisingly close to 100 career goals.

I don’t see a flood of goals tonight but I think Spurs will prevail 3-1.
