Since Levy has taken over we have still stumbled from one disaster to another, with the appointment of managers in the form of the guy from the Police Academy movies to the loss of Frank Arnesen the following year So things haven’t been stable. Lets not forget we are STILL without a DoF – which makes me think I’m true in thinking this role is being quietly swept away without so much of a whisper to the fans. Remember the DoF set up was shouted loud and hard by Mr Levy which was good to see a Chairman put a stake in the ground and be forward thinking.
"Daniel Levy, love him or hate him, he has a nice suit.."
So where now then, we have sold most of the new lads from 12 months ago (albeit an improved squad) , no DoF, a lack of strikers for the rest of the season. Yet we still have the biggest squad in the land, with the reported wages of over 320k a week we could assume that Levy is investing heavily into the squad. Maybe that’s true which doesn’t change the fact that we are developing and I cant see us challenging for another year or so whilst we wait for the team to gel.
Well you would think I am happy with Levy and to be honest he has changed us from a sorry state to a potentialy fantastic side, but potential is nothing without something to follow, this still doesnt take away the disasters which have happened (which to be fair are none of Levy's doing) . . from this I ask one question, can Levy take us further?
