Norwich 0-3 Spurs

Just thought I'd give you a brief review from last nights game.

Again not top draw oppo, but probrably the toughest test so far, and Spurs looked very comfortable. To be fair to Norwich they are not a bad side, they try to play football, but Spurs were a class above.
After all the bad press we've given the shaggymeister recently it has to said that he was our star performer last night, controlling the midfield and scoring a blinder from 30 yards that put us 1-0 up (remeniscent of his goal against Leeds in the F.A cup a few years back). If he can stay fit and maintain a bit of form maybe it is a good thing we have got him for another 12 months.
As for the rest of the 1st half, we did not really create too much, Keane had one ruled out for off-side, Hirchsfield was relatively untested, Gardner looked solid at the back, Davies was quiet, Toda neat and tidy, and Postiga was quiet with Keane not really giving him much service.

Second half was better. Zamora on for Posty and Ethers on for Gailbraith (who looked v. impressive on the left some good crosses). After Davies goal we started to dominate and create chances. Davies improved and even Ethers had some decent runs down the left (end product questionable again).
More changes, Poyet, Acimovic, Burch, Perry, Marney on, Tarricco (capt. again), Hirchsfield, Davies, Keane off.
Marney looked good, the fairly average, continued to create chances and after norrowly missing a good chance, Bobby got in the middle of a defensive mix-up to poke one home. He's already very popular with the fans!
Anderton and Bunjy subbed on around 80 mins for Ricketts and Kelly, I left around 85 so can't tell you much about those 2.
All in all, a good work out, Spurs looking impressive so far, with a couple of the top boys back (Redknapp, Richards) and a couple more signings we're looking good for the season.
